About X5cape

Hey Everyone!

I thought I'd take the time out today to tell you guys a bit more about me and Ian & our MTB brand X5cape, so here goes.

A Few years ago I (Laura) quit my job as a manager of a musical instrument store to go it alone and start my own company, in order for me to do this Ian continued to work as a bar manager to help support us while I started my business. after a couple of years of failed companies and massive losses I decided to start a discount cosmetics company selling everything from makeup to fragrance to skin care. This business then started to grow & become very successful, due to recent success Ian was able to quit his full time job & start to work for our company full time too, business was going well & continuing to grow, at this point we decided we would reinvest our earnings rather than take a bonus & start a mountain bike related company, something we are both passionate about.

After months off planning & organising we settled on a clothing company made for mountain bikers, as both of us focused on fashion & design throughout school & college (we went to the same collage *awwww*) & were very creative this made sense & we knew we were on to a winner of an idea. But, instead of manufacturing & importing all of our clothing from outside of the UK we decided that a personal touch was needed & we invested in the equipment needed to manufacture our own clothing in house ourselves. From design to print to packaging every step is done in house by us (but mainly Ian). We've got so many new products due out soon & we can't wait for you to see them, we've got new clothing being added weekly so keep checking back for updates.

Not only do we manufacture all of our own clothing, we love the environment & all of our processes & company values have the environment in mind. All of our packaging is either recycled or biodegradable. Even all of our waste plastic from our printing process is recycled & turned in ECO Bricks. Our aim this year is to not only give back to the environment but to give back to the MTB community, this year we're looking to sponsor Trails, riders & events, so keep an eye-out for updates on this.

So there you go, thats our story if you've got any more questions for us please feel free to comment below & we'd be happy to oblige.
